Daniel’s Gift of Life through Organ Donation

To the Honorable Sir Elton John:

I received a heart from Daniel. Daniel’s sister, Vannessa and I enjoyed your Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, and Dodger Stadium shows! She listened to her brother Daniel’s heart during your performances of ‘Someone Saved My Life Tonight’. I danced with gratitude during ‘Im Still Standing’ at Tampa, Orlando, and Miami shows (8 total concerts, 2 at Dodger Stadium.)

Your music inspired me to start The Daniel Foundation for Organ Donation and Sarcoidosis Awareness” (FODASAcharity.org). The video of a young man aging is noteworthy. Metaphorically, it is Daniel > the heart transplant > and us.

The song ‘Daniel’ tells of a young man impacted by war. It parallels the real-life story of Daniel, the organ donor who lives on through me as a CS and heart transplant survivor.

Cardiac Sarcoidosis (CS) is found too often in autopsies, yet it is cured in many cases with steroids if detected early. FODASA’s mission is to promote organ donation and methods of early detection for CS. The disease is not as rare as literature suggests.

OUR SPECIFIC REQUEST

Please honor “Daniel”, the organ donor, his sister Vannessa, and the life-saving gift of organ donation” before singing ‘Someone Saved My Life Tonight’ at any upcoming concert or via any other method of your choice.
